The Internet Radio Broadcaster Summit
Austin, Texas May 12-14, 2006

AUSTIN, TX - Internet radio broadcasters, musical artists, software executives, legal experts, and fans will descend on Austin and the Omni Hotel Downtown on May 12-14 for 365/CON: The Internet Radio Broadcaster Summit.

"This is the future of broadcasting and music distribution" said Gregg Perry (aka “ozonakid”), the coordinator for this year’s 365/CON and a broadcaster of four different internet stations that play 24/7 and have tens of thousands of listening hours per month. "Internet radio does not suffer from the traditional technical limitations of bandwidth and cost. Listeners and potential music consumers can have literally thousands of choices covering every genre, sub-genre, and sub- sub-genre of music."

365/CON was put together by several prominent broadcasters that utilize the Live365.com streaming service to host their stations.  “Most of us chose Live365 because it was one of the few to properly pay all music royalties and fees to performing rights organizations and music artists. These artists use Live as a way to get new music out unencumbered by the constraints and limitations of typical terrestrial radio,” Perry said.

365/CON is designed to bring together internet broadcasters, bands, music labels, and legal experts to share information on this emerging technology and music outlet.  Confirmed panelists include three company CEO’s from Live365, Spacial Audio, and Music1, as well as noted legal experts on digital music licensing, station licensing, copyright, and digital privacy. There are also sessions for beginners explaining how to start your own legally licensed Internet radio station..

The conference will cap off with a performance by Sony/Jive Records recording artist Dirtie Blonde, recently named by Seventeen Magazine’s Billy Mann as "the next big thing."  Currently touring internationally with INXS, Dirtie Blonde recently performed at SXSW in March, and lead singer Amie Miriello has been featured as a VO5 Red Hot Rising Star in Vogue, Glamour, Allure, Self, Teen Vogue and Jane Magazines.  Their first CD on Jive Records is due out in May. Their website is located at http://www.dirtieblonde.com.

“We’re very excited to have Dirtie Blonde join the program,” remarks Perry.   “Internet radio is an increasingly important music release channel for new bands, and Dirtie Blonde was exactly what we were looking for – a great band on the verge of becoming a major force in modern music.”
